FAIR Fish worked with 4 recruitment agencies to pilot implementation of the Responsible Recruitment Model: Tid Goodpower, Global Events, Billion Thai Supply Group and Central Unity .
Recruitment monitoring system established and operating within pilot recruitment agencies
Coaching sessions provided to pilot recruitment agencies
Recruitment and recruitment-related policies and procedures of pilot recruitment agencies revised/developed
I have changed the job recruitment system within my business, to apply what I learned in the FAIR Fish program. This standard does not apply only between me and employers. It also applies to my partners in Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar. They also have to follow the same standard. I spoke to them about the standard and they have to sign an agreement that they will comply with the standard, that I’ve taken from the FAIR Fish program. Everybody has to do it. Its very effective, because even when we deal with third parties they have to do the same thing and report back

Following the pilot, a wide range of recruitment companies and third-party recruiters were engaged and trained to implement the responsible recruitment model.

Third-party recruiters trained on the responsible recruitment model curriculum
Training and engagement was conducted through a variety of methods:
Enrolments in the e-learning platform
Users fully completed the online course and received e-certificates generated by the e-learning platform.
Recruiters completed the course, including 62 Cambodian, 79 Burmese, and 191 Thai.
There is a tool I use often from Fairfish called the KPI tool which has helped our company to set up a clear goal and criteria for ethical recruitment. It is helpful because it has helped us to learn in which areas we need to pay more attention.
Since Fairfish, we learned to receive a complaint from the worker and now we will go talk to the company to try and find a solution and if we can’t find a solution then we are going to help move the migrant worker to another factory.
