The Fostering Accountability in Recruitment for Fishery Workers (FAIR Fish) project is a five-year project that aims to minimize Forced Labor (FL) and Trafficking-in-Persons (TIP) in the recruitment of women and men in the seafood processing sector in Thailand.
Running from January 2019 to December 2024, FAIR Fish is implemented by Plan International, supported by the Office of Child Labor, Forced Labor, and Human Trafficking at the Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), the United States Department of Labor (USDOL).
All workers in the Thai seafood processing sectors are protected from child labor, FL and TIP.
Migrant recruitment agencies in Thailand, Cambodia and Myanmar;
Seafood processing companies in Thailand; and
Migrant workers working in seafood processing companies in Thailand
The project is a capacity building project for staff of employer companies and recruitment agencies to be able to implement responsible business practice particularly in terms of recruitment and employment . It is also about behavioral change communication to take action against forced labor and human trafficking.
